Reservations Agent

We are looking for a detail-oriented Reservations Agent to assist the operation of our Reservation Department. The ideal Reservations Agent should have excellent customer service skills and be able to up-sell and have excellent knowledge of deals and savings available to customers. 
Key Duties:
Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances
Checking the availability of accommodation on the customers’ desired travel dates
Processing payments and sending confirmation details to customers
Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations
Selling and promoting reservation services
Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process
Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services
Providing support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation
Qualifications and Skills required:
Studies in Hotel Management are required 
Work experience in a similar position at a 5 * hotel for at least 2 years
Prior Marriott experience, in a similar position would be considered an asset 
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Good organizational and time management skills
Confident team player, with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent command of English 
Knowledge of any additional languages will be considered an asset
Knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Office (word, excel)
